Job description

Product Development Manager will be responsible for developing product plans, launching new products and growing product portfolio through analysis, product evaluation, and strategic portfolio management. Responsible for analyzing market and client needs to position products and provide solutions. The Manager performs a crucial role in optimizing their portfolio and ensuring that we remain competitive and innovative in the market. Maximize the performance of current product portfolios/categories and expansion into new categories through data-driven decisions, supplier relationships, and innovation. Organizing multiple communication streams to ensure all stakeholders have the materials and information required for the product life cycle. Work closely with Sales Director and Sales Team as well as the Marketing Team to drive sales of their portfolio of products.

Responsibilities

Category Strategy

· Analyse clients’ needs to expand our existing product portfolio to position Healthmark in the market competitively.

· Attend industry shows and events to identify new product opportunities and innovations

· Conduct-in depth market analysis to identify product categories and segments with growth potential, market trends, and competitive landscapes

· Work in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory define priorities, product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional plans

Supplier Relationship Management

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, assist with negotiating favorable terms and agreements
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation, product development, and exclusive partnerships
• Monitor supplier performance and quality to ensure compliance with contractual agreements

Product Portfolio Management

• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from product selection, launch and development to end-of-life management
• Develop and execute strategic plans with cross-functional team for product sunsetting, including running down inventories, profit-focused strategies, and regional or customer group adjustments
• Create a reporting process to monitor new launches and provide regular updates to the leadership team and key stakeholders on progress to business case

Financial Performance

• Work with Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) to set and monitor category-specific financial targets, including revenue, margin, and inventory turnover

• Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, shareholders and business partners
• Strong financial acumen; planning C forecasting
• Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office products

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience expanding and managing a healthcare related product portfolio

· Bilingual (French & English)

· Must have a pharmacy background or experience in the hospital settings or healthcare facilities

· Experience in distributing medical related supplies & solutions.

Education Required

· Bachelor’s in health science


Hours– 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Presence–100% presence –Lachine, often travelling and on the road
