Job Description:

The Director, IT Operations will directly establish and oversee the Network Infrastructure and Service Desk teams. The Network Infrastructure group is charged with selecting, installing, and maintaining the hardware that all Richards businesses operate on, including data center, office devices & connectivity solutions, and employee devices & connectivity. They will also work closely with cybersecurity partners to ensure the defense of our network. The Service Desk group is charged with providing technical support to all users as well as engaging with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of both equipment and applications.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of network infrastructure including on & off premise, cloud solutions and connectivity
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Enthusiasm, patience, and exceptional interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
• Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to establish and pursue a workplan independently
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines

Experience:

• 7+yrs experience in IT network management and/or service desk
• Prior experience managing a team
• Experience engaging with senior leadership to guide strategy setting and execution (preferred, but not required)

Education Required:

• College or University education in a technology-related field
• Business management courses or certificates are an asset

Hours – 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Presence – 100% in the office – Mississauga location, travel to other branches as needed.
